  1. Hi Doug,
I believe that the men of Sodom and Gomorrah asked for the MEN (we know they were angels)to come out of Lot’s house so they could have sex with them. Men having sex with men IS going after strange or alien flesh, is it not? Do you think the men thought they could produce some nephilim from man to man sex? What would be the point? These were just homosexual men from what we know from the text that God was already planning to destroy before this event even took place. It sounds as if you are saying that the men knew they were trying to have sex with angels. Is this correct?

    • I don’t presume to speak for Doug, but I’ll try to answer your questions…

“Men having sex with men IS going after strange or alien flesh, is it not? “

It’s homosexuality, but men are hardly alien to men. In fact, considering the text, that’s the very point. The Greek is ἕτερος (heteros)— literally not of the same kind — rather than ὁμός (homos). They were, in the most literal reading of the text, heterosexual, not homosexual!

“Do you think the men thought they could produce some nephilim from man to man sex?”

Not at all: nothing in the text suggests that, either (at least not as far as I can see). The text states simply that the men went after strange flesh — and it’s not unreasonable to conclude that they’d probably already tasted it (given how they made a beeline for Lot’s angelic visitors, and given that God was already rolling up His sleeves ready to destroy them anyway).

And if you want to make the case that God unleashed burning slaughter upon Sodom simply because it was full of belligerent queers, then — apart from the textual difficulties above — you make God horribly capricious. Why pick on Sodom yet ignore Sparta?

(I was going to mention a certain West-Coast city, but they’re not quite there, yet… :))

  2. Just a quick note about the “last trump”. I have heard some say that this is a direct reference to the “Feast of Trumpets”. Apparently there are a number of trumpet blast made during this festival. Another interesting note is that in the Hebrew community, it is the festival that is referred to as the one that knows the day nor the time except for the father because of it being based upon the arrival of the new moon.

  3. Clearly Satan is trying to crack “the code” of DNA, thus the fight over Moses’ body way back when and the ongoing animal mutilations of our day. But I haven’t heard anyone consider the possibility of “walk-ins” as Satan’s perfected means of transforming people into Beings of his liking. (That’s a term New Agers use. It’s a way of souls being replaced or exchanged by another soul.) Maybe Nephilim represented an early, rather clumsy experiment that was too “obvious.” (Six fingers, 12′ tall…”Gee, why’s everybody staring at me?”) Maybe the final piece of the puzzle, from Satan’s vantage point, has been his imitation of the Holy Spirit being implanted in one’s heart. Maybe he’s missed the mark so far because he can only implant his demons in a body but not the spirit. (I’m just guessing here what his preferred target is, but given that he wants to imitate God on every level, the heart has to be the final goal.) What do you think?

I know you have mentioned in previous studies seed as information, but this time that reality has wonderfully come alive for me in such ways like the relation to the opening of John’s gospel where the Word–Logos–Information becomes flesh and in further understanding of how somehow through faith this information–the promised seed to Abraham through Isaac–is implanted in us, whereby we become children of the living God. Perhaps this condition is also that in which God’s Law is no longer written upon stone tablets, but is written within our hearts, our minds, and our souls.
Our inclination is often to thank you, Doug, but I know that God is the giver; so, thank you God for these studies.

  5. Hello Doug,

Thankyou for your teaching and books.

I have been struggling to figure out who the 7 heads are in Revelation 13:1-2 and Rev 17:8-11.
Peter Goodgame thinks they are 7 rulers Nimrod, Antiochus, Nero… ect…
Many think they are 7 Kingdoms (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persian, Greece, Rome, Revived Rome (8th as Kingdom of the Beast during great tribulation)
Fruchtenbaum thought they were different forms of human of the Roman empire.
I was thinking about Dan 10:13 and Dan 10:20 where the angel talking with Daniel mentioned fighting with the prince of Persia and that the prince of Greece was coming.
Do you think the 7 heads could represent the demonic power behind each of the Kingdoms listed above?
Could the anitchrist represent a demonic power and appear as a human because he is a hyprid?
I was just curious if you had taught on this anywhere and what your thoughts were on the 7 heads?
    Blessings,Peter

    • Hello Peter,

See if you find this grouping of verses helpful in identifying the antichrist:

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition” – 2 Thessalonians 2:3

“While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.” – John 17:12

“That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which
Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.” – Act
      1:25

“The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition:” – Rev 17:8

“And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.” – Rev 17:11

Additionally, I would add some speculation that the Shroud of Turin might be a setup & that the antichrist may use the face on the Shroud as his appearance. Many people will be easily swayed by such “evidence.” Possibly “even the elect.”

      Blessings

      • Hi Jon,

Thanks. I recently heard a radio show where the theory that Judas was the antichrist was presented. Interesting theory. Others say the resurrection of Nimrod. Others suggest like Doug that he will be genetically related to Satan. Hopefully I will not be here to find out :).
I am interested on any thoughts about what I posed on the 7 heads. Who do the 7 heads represent?
        Blessings,
        Peter

        • I am in the camp that believes the 7 heads are historically the seven Kingdoms & the 7 crowns are the seven rulers (Rev. 12:3). As for demonic powers I would turn to Rev. 17:12. I suspect that these are the fallen angels, or the “powers & principalities” mentioned in Eph. 6:12, or Dan. 10:13. I also tend to agree with Doug on the genetic tampering aspect. Makes as much sense, if not more, as anything else I’ve heard. Satan is probably the ultimate trans-humanist and so genetic manipulation could play a part in creating a Shroud of Turin image.
