Douglas Hamp graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem with an M.A. in the Hebrew Bible and Its World where he specialized in ancient languages including Biblical Hebrew and Koine Greek. He is the author of of Discovering the Language of Jesus, The First Six Days and Corrupting the Image numerous articles and has lectured on biblical languages, creationism and prophecy in the United States and internationally for over eight years in English and Spanish.   Douglas is a committed follower of Yeshua (Jesus).

[Full Bio:] Douglas Hamp, author of Discovering the Language of Jesus, The First Six Days and Corrupting the Image earned his MA in the Hebrew Bible and the Ancient Near East from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.  During his three years in Israel, he studied both modern and biblical Hebrew, biblical Aramaic, Koine Greek and other ancient languages as well as ancient texts and the archeology of the Bible.  He served as an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa for over six years, where he taught at the School of Ministry, Spanish School of Ministry and Calvary Chapel Bible College Graduate School.  Douglas has given numerous lectures on biblical languages, creationism and prophecy in the United States and internationally.

A brief summary of doctrinal positions

I take the Bible as the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. We can trust it in every way. I believe in a literal six day creation which serves as an important basis for interpreting the rest of the Bible. I believe in the triune God and Jesus, the second person of the Godhead incarnated, took my sins on the cross, died and rose again. I believe that He is coming back bodily at the second coming and the rapture of true believers will proceed the second coming is what is called the rapture. After the tribulation the Lord will establish His kingdom and we shall forever be with Him in the New Jerusalem.
