Reclaiming the Rapture (There are Dozens of Verses for the Gathering of Israel)

According to pretrib rapture teachers, there isn’t even a single verse that supports the rapture. They claim that it is all over the Bible in the form of types and shadows. However, the Bible clearly and “unmysteriously” speaks of the gathering of God‘s people after the time of tribulation. Teacher Doug Hamp, a former pretrib teacher, takes you on a jouney through the entire Bible showing verse after clear verse detailing the timing of rapture.

  1. Hey Doug!

I love to hear post vs. pre, and I’m open to either – but I still have to go with Chuck Missler on this one, at this point. Have you read or listened to his rapture articles on Koinonia House or videos on youtube?

  2. Hi Doug,

The tribulation is the final period of judgement prophesied in Daniel 9 as pertaining to Daniel’s people (the Jews) and his Holy city (Jerusalem). The Church has no part in this judgement because Christ paid for our sins in full. It makes no sense to claim that Christ will put his church through that same judgment.

And when will that final period of judgement begin? (2 Thessalonians 2:7) “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.

I believe he that is taken out of the way to be the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit can only be taken out of the way if we whom he indwells are removed – the rapture.

    • Hi Phil. You said “it makes no sense…”. Well, it makes sense because Jesus said so.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
      João 16:33”.

It’s not up to you to say that this tribulation Jesus is talking about is not THAT tribulation, yes it is that ALSO.
Please review your rapture assumptions just like Doug did and live a new experience – knowing the truth.
      God bless you!

  3. Hello Doug,
First of all welcome to Colorado. Just listened to your teaching on reclaiming the rapture and your interview with the pastor from Alabama.
My question to you is this. How do you square what your seeing with all of Paul’s teaching on our freedom in Christ; specifically his letter to the Galatians and the matter of circumcision as a defining factor between Jew and Gentile? Also are you saying that the “times of the Gentiles” referred to by Jesus (Luke 21:24) and Paul (Romans 11:25) is really the time that the northern kingdom (Ephraim) has spent scattered? That the “house of Ephraim” represents the Gentiles of the world, the “uncircumcised” and are not of the sons of Jacob the “circumcised”?

    Jim
