When I first heard about 3-D printing a few years ago I knew that it would change the world. While such exciting advances are intended to be a blessing, I believe that eventually such technology will be used to further the kingdom of the Beast. The creation of the image of the Beast will almost certainly, in my opinion, utilize these advances to make a type of clone of the Beast. However, let me stress that 3-D printing and various genetic engineering is not the mark of the beast – they are merely stepping stones along the way. Once people begin to trust the benign and very positive technology, then a bait and switch will occur.

And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. (Rev 13:14 NKJV) He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. Bioengineers promise to 3D-print human hearts in a decade

Scientists in Kentucky predict that they’ll be able to use 3D printer technology to create a bioficial human heart in only ten years’ time.

Dr. Stuart Williams is the director of the Cardiovascular Innovation Institute in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, and he thinks his office is only a decade away from what could be one of the biggest medical marvels ever.

Heart disease is the number one killer in the United States and claims around 1 million lives annually, according to recent studies. Dr. Williams has witnessed both of his parents pass away due to the disease, and by 2020 it is expected to be the biggest life-taker on Earth. By then, however, Williams expects to be near the breakthrough point with regards to his most ambitious endeavor yet.

“America put a man on the Moon in less than a decade. I said a full decade to provide some wiggle room,” Williams recently told Wired of his projected progress.

Just as 3D printers have let anyone from hobbyists to industrial designers manufacture objects as of late, Williams says he wants to use that same technology to replicate the most critical of body parts. Designers have already managed to show that 3D printers are capable of churning out fully-functioning firearms, and scientists have already explored with making organs, including a liver and anear, with that technology. Williams, however, wants to be able to bring to life something with a beat.

“We think we can do it in 10 years — that we can build, from a patient’s own cells, a total ‘bioficial’ heart,” he said to the Courier Journal newspaper. Read more:

The day is coming quickly when humans will be able to completely replace the human body and live forever. As predicted in Corrupting the Image, it is just a matter of time until the limitations of the human are no longer an issue and technology will overcome them. While it sounds good, it is in fact a counterfeit to the real body that God intends to give us, freely – made in his own image, no less!

Some of the smartest people in the world are gathering in New York to try to figure out how to build lifelike copies of humans … to be eventually uploaded with the contents of a real human brain.

It’s the brainchild of a Russian multimillionaire, Dmitry Itskov. … And he says he’s perfectly serious, and that it could be accomplished by 2035.

Crazy? The New York Times gave Itskov a front-page profile on its Sunday Business page a week and a half ago.

Imagine this … a digital copy of your brain in a different life form that could live for hundreds of years and be replaced.

There are several stages to his proposal, including an early stage (Avatar A) where lifelike avatars (androids) are created, but without an actual brain in them. Instead you would be able to mentally “occupy” the avatar and would have the same sensations.

If you have ever seen the movie “Surrogates” with Bruce Willis, a 2009 film, this is the first stage. In that movie, Willis remotely moves around an android that is an optimized version of himself. He is in a darkened room and has a live telepresence of that avatar, including all senses.

Dmitry says that we could have the first phase—that will enable people to operate a nonbiological body—in the next seven years. And he believes that the concept can be proved to be viable in the next three years. He is talking about an artificial body with sensations—the sensation that you would be walking in the body.

The next phase (Avatar B) is brain transplantation. Instead of your dying, neurosurgeons isolate the brain and some of the spinal chord, put it in a life support system, and that is inserted into the android developed in Avatar A. The timetable:
2020-25.

In the next phase (Avatar C), you make the brain non-biological by uploading it into a computer. The timetable: 2030-35.

Question from listener (Charles): “Why do most prophecy teachers refer to “the Antichrist” as though it is a specific individual given that name in the Bible? In reading the Bible I have never been able to identify any individual or entity referred to as “the Antichrist.”

I agree with Charles that the best name for the person in question is not precisely Antichrist. The Scriptures have many names for this person. We find him called by the title little horn in Dan 7 and 8, Son of Perdition in 2 Thessalonians 2, the Wicked One in Isaiah 11. So,  he is not properly called “the Antichrist” – I have used the term “Antichrist” because it is what we commonly used term to describe the person who will be the ultimate embodiment of the antichrist philosophy. I would argue that it is not such a bad designation for the person because he is certainly against and will be in the place of Christ – thus the name fits. I think the other terms for such as beast, son of perdition, little horn, are all terms that refer to a feature of him. From Genesis 3:15 we know that he will be opposed to Jesus the Messiah (the Christ) and will also be the genetic counterfeit of the Christ.  I am convinced that he is called the beast in revelation precisely because he is a genetic hybrid between Satan and man.

The technological advances today are moving the human race toward  a trans-humanist future. While those advances are exciting and are a testament to the genius of man, they are leading us over a genetic cliff. God said everything is to reproduce according to its own kind. Splicing different kinds of biological code will most certainly end poorly. I like technology and sci-fi, however, what is happening in our today, in my estimation, are giant steps towards the mark of the beast.

Life may be the software that makes its own hardware, but where is the compiler? If we plan to start programming life itself, we are going to need a radically different and better tool kit than the one available to geneticists today. Omri lays out a concrete vision for how such a tool would work and for how it would be used to create the bio-products our future needs so badly.
