Doug…this is for PCs only, right? Have you looked into ipad textbooks as the next generation of bible learning aids? I sent an email to Chuck Missler’s group at K-House a few days ago to see if anyone there is working on just such a project. Nobody’s gotten back to me yet. What little I know about the textbook presentation (google search will send you to apple’s site) is that it’s very visual and interactive, where pictures come alive with animations. I could see that being useful for geography, for talking head commentaries, etc.
I”m not a big one for icons where I have to remember what each one means. I”m sort of a drag and drop guy, using fingers rather than mouse. At least for video editing programs I’ve found that preferable. The ipad kind of reminds me of that sort of experience.

The Word software, I wonder what it is based on! I find more & more pastors & Bible teachers using corrupt Bible versions instead of the KJV. There is plenty of evidence verifying just how satan has corrupted the pure word for those that are interested, even Douglas in his latest teaching, testified as to how good the NIV was. Wow, no discernment to even think of making a statement like that. These surely are the very last days.

The versions are “corrupted” because you found what in the language exactly? What translation do you recommend Hispanics should use? Do they need to use the KJV? Is the KJV the only “pure” Bible translation out there? When did I testify about the NIV? All the translations have the strengths and weaknesses. KJV is a fine translation but it is not the inspired version. In some places the NIV renders the text slightly better. In some places it doesn’t.

This makes me sad to hear you say this. Please look into Mike Hoggard’s teachings on the subject of the translation issue. The KJV is not the “only” correct bible or the “inspired” bible, it is THE accurate Bible God providentially preserved for us today and NO other ENGLISH Bible has supplanted it, there are major textual issues in every other translation, many good men have done excellent and exhaustive studies of the differences and the uniqueness of the King James Bible. Prior to the KJB God obviously used other books. God clearly works through corrupted translations as well. Just because God has and DOES work through Bibles like the NASB, ESV, and even ones as bad as the NIV, does NOT mean that those translations are acceptable in the sight of God, they are an abomination, but God saves sinners in their sin and despite of sin and ignorance. He has and will continue to enlighten many many of his true followers and direct them to the purest form of his word in existence on the Earth which is the King James Bible (1769 edition… textually the same as the 1611). Please give more time to further research this study, and give a listen/reading to Mike Hoggard’s teachings, he’s the best I’ve found, and he also talks about the subject of genetics and hybrids and DNA and the Bible… you would do well to review all his material and relate it to your own study and pray for God to help you correct any misunderstandings you have and to gain further understanding with the help of Mike, and then perhaps also to inform Mike of some things you know that he doesn’t, and correct some of his misunderstandings, working together to form a more coherent picture of the truth. As far as the Bible goes, God’s right, you’re wrong. Every word of God is pure.
