Satan’s Air Cover

Chapter 20 of The Corrupting The Image 3 :  Satan’s Air Cover

Satan’s army of two hundred million chimera-manticores were effective in dealing with people, but they will not stop Jesus. Nevertheless, as his airborne detachment, they will create a front line against Jesus. Recall how we discovered the god of death, Nergal, (yet another syncretism for Satan and or Nimrod) was described perfectly as the creature coming out of the abyss in Revelation 9. Satan very possibly had hoped to release that army on the world at Jesus’ first coming, but he was thwarted by Jesus’ decree: that the gates of Hades would not prevail; and by his actions on top of Hermon, and ultimately by his resurrection.

Nevertheless, once released, that army will quickly move into action. We know that they will use their serpent-head tails311 to inflict pain on all who do not have the mark of God for five months. However, once that task is complete, we can infer that their job will be to defend Satan’s strategic target of Jerusalem.

Satan had tried to stand in Jesus’ way when Jesus was on a mission before. When Jesus crossed the Sea of Galilee with his disciples, Satan sent a furious storm to try to kill him and his disciples. The disciples panicked and woke their master, who seemed a bit disappointed that they interrupted his restful nap for such a small matter. ‘Oh ye of little faith, why did you disrupt my nap?’ While He was awakening from his sleep, He chastised them for having so little faith. Only after standing up did He rebuke the wind and waves! Satan had tried to put up a barrier to block Jesus from coming into his territory by stirring up the waves into a powerful storm. When they got to land, two demoniacs met them, at least one of whom had a legion of demons inside him, which is 4,000-6,000 demons! That was a whole army of unclean spirits that Satan had sent to prevent Jesus from accessing Bashan, the territory that formerly housed the “remnant of the giants” (Joshua 12:4) and was currently casting a “shadow of death” on the Galilee (Isa 9:2). Satan deployed a storm and legion of demons to shield the land of Bashan—his snake-dragon headquarters. Like Ronald Reagan envisioned his Strategic Defense Initiative, “Star Wars,” Satan went on the defense and in essence, raised the deflector shield. In the end, Satan will again try to stop Jesus by raising a protective dome over the Jerusalemites that He is coming to rescue, the ones who had just said “Baruch Haba B’shem Adonai.” Though Satan is on the defense, he may still have one final option. Because God said: “In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem” (Zech 12:8), Satan may believe if he can destroy all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, he can prove God a liar and then be able to negotiate a “cease-fire.” Nevertheless, his back is now up against a wall; as this time, God is the one setting the trap.

Satan knows Jesus is coming in the air to rescue those in Jerusalem; He may send those wall-scaling, hive-minded chimeras to form an interlocking dome over Jerusalem.

“They look like horses … They scale walls like soldiers. Each one proceeds on his course; they do not alter their path. They do not jostle one another … The earth quakes before them; the sky reverberates. The sun and the moon grow dark” (Joel 2: 4a, 7–8a; 10 NET).

They will provide air protection while his army of zombies attacks the remnant of Jerusalemites on the ground. We discover this from several passages. First of all, God says:

“You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes” (Ezek 38:16).

While we cannot deny that “like a cloud” could be interpreted just to mean something voluminous; alternatively, it may be understood to be a mimic of Jesus’ departure and return on the clouds (Acts 1:9–11). It appears that 200 million, battle-ready, horse-like chimeras will thunder into Jerusalem like bees who swarm but don’t bump into each other, to cover the land in a cloud-ceiling that blocks out the light from the sky. Satan has set his sights on defeating God, claiming Jerusalem (above and below) and sitting on God’s throne. He may deploy his own version of an “iron dome,” but God will fight in both realms. Isaiah tells us how God will fight at the time of the sky rolling up, and his sword will slaughter heavenly powers:

“For the LORD is angry at all the nations and furious with all their armies. He will annihilate them and slaughter them (Isa 34:2). Their slain will be left unburied, their corpses will stink; the hills will soak up their blood (Isa 34:3). All the stars in the sky will fade away, the sky will roll up like a scroll; all its stars will wither, like a leaf withers and falls from a vine or a fig withers and falls from a tree (Isa 34:4). He says, ‘Indeed, my sword has slaughtered heavenly powers. Look, it now descends on Edom, on the people I will annihilate in judgment’ (Isa 34:5 NET).”

Angels are Stars

There are some important clues in this pericope: “All the stars in the sky will fade away” (“All the host of heaven shall be dissolved” NKJV). This refers to angelic beings, not the incandescent burning bodies that astronomy calls “stars.” If it were talking about astronomical stars, then ALL the stars from Alpha Centari to Beetlejuice to the super giants and our own sun would need to fall to the earth. If that happened there would be no earth, the planet would be done.

Angels are often referred to as stars, especially in the book of Revelation. In chapter twelve, the “dragon” taking stars with its tail is the same as the dragon and his angels being cast to the earth.

  • a great, fiery red dragon (Rev 12:3). His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth (Rev 12:4).
  • the great dragon was cast out … and his angels were cast out with him (Rev 12:9).
  • The seven stars are the angels [angeloi ἄγγελοι] of the seven churches … (Rev 1:20).
  • it cast down some of the host [of heaven] and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them (Dan 8:10).
  • All the host of heaven [fallen angels] shall be dissolved … All their host shall fall down … as fruit falling from a fig tree (Isa 34:4; Rev 6:13).
  • Then the third angel sounded: and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water (Rev 8:10).

In prophetic language, stars equal angelic beings.

“And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit” (Rev 9:1-2).

That meaning is further underscored in the book of Job where the sons of God are also called stars. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God (benei ha’elohim) shouted for joy? (Job 38:7). Nevertheless, the use of stars in the book of Revelation firmly establishes that “stars” is a reference to angels.312 Thus, without doubt, the picture drawn is that of God doing battle against some of Satan’s angels in the atmosphere, not on the planet’s surface.

So, the “host” are bad angels that face judgment on the “day that the LORD will punish on high the host of exalted ones, and on the earth the kings of the earth” (Isa 24:21).

The “stars falling to the ground like figs” in Revelation are referred to as the “host of heaven falling” in Isaiah. We see that many other places in Scripture the term tzevah hashamaim is talking about the armies of heaven, which is the literal translation demonstrated in a scene in 1 Kings in which God is surrounded by the host of heaven [הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם צְבָ֣א tzevah hashamaim] (1 Kgs 22:19).

There are many examples that demonstrate that the phrase is typically referring to angels. In Jeremiah 19, the hosts of heaven are equated with “gods.”

“Because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven [הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם [צְבָ֣א], and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods” (Jer 19:13 KJV).

Those “gods,” “host of heaven” or “fallen angels,” are also referred to as the armies of exalted ones in the heavens, in Isaiah 24, which happens at “that time,” which is a reference to the Day of the Lord.

“And it will come about at that time, the Lord will punish the armies [tzevah צְבָ֥א] of the exalted ones in the heavens, and the rulers of the earth on earth” (Isa 24:21 ISV).

Paul, writing to the Ephesians, refers to the reality of the adverse cosmic powers (κοσμοκράτοράςας cosmokratoras). Those cosmic powers, which are all around us, are part of the spiritual forces that are in the heavenly realm, which is a reference to angels and not to balls of gas in outer space.

“For our struggle is not against human opponents, but against rulers, authorities, cosmic powers in the darkness around us, and evil spiritual forces in the heavenly realm” (Eph 6:12 ISV).

Now we are prepared to understand what Jesus meant when He said, “the powers of heaven will be shaken loose” (Matt 24:29 ISV). He was not referring to the sun, moon, and stars going away. Rather He was referring to the cataclysmic changes occurring among the heavenly powers and Satan’s angelic servants.

Sword has Slaughtered Heavenly Powers

We remember that Satan and his angels were cast to the earth. They lost their ability to be on the other side of the veil. In Corrupting the Image 2, we considered how Satan and his angels yearn for a body; this led them to create the Nephilim to serve as bio-suits, but the experiment failed. In the end times, Satan has now fused with the Beast, and his angels have fused with the Manticores, and potentially also humans who have taken the mark.

Thus, Jesus is going to fight fleshly-spiritual beings; “Their slain will be left unburied, their corpses will stink; the hills will soak up their blood” (Isa 34:3). The location of this battle is clearly in the heavens, given the description, his “sword has slaughtered heavenly powers.”

The heavenly powers that He slaughters are the lesser gods. God Almighty judges among the gods. The term “gods” does not mean entities that have real power to go against God, but angels, in the sense that He has arranged a hierarchy of positions. Some angels have been faithful; others have been unfaithful. And here He is speaking to the ones that have been unfaithful. This must be the fulfillment found in Psalm 82:

“I said, ‘You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High’ (Ps 82:6). But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes” (Ps 82:7).

The fact that they will die like men is noteworthy. In other words, something has happened to them. We catch a glimpse of this in Isaiah 14 where God reveals what will happen to Babylon and the king of Babylon, who is Satan in this case. It says:

“The LORD’s sword is dripping with blood, it is covered with fat; it drips with the blood of young rams and goats and is covered with the fat of rams’ kidneys. For the LORD is holding a sacrifice in Bozrah, a bloody slaughter in the land of Edom” (Isa 34:6).

Dr. Bob Utley explains the imagery of the blood of young rams313 and goats: “here Edom (like Moab earlier) is symbolic of all the arrogant nations who rebel against God.” Lange and Schaff explain this section:

“Isa 34:4 pictures the judgment that shall be executed on the heavens, but here the Prophet combines intention and performance. He contemplates the judgment of God as beginning in heaven, and continued on earth.”314

Thus, the judgment begins with God’s sword being bloody in the heavens, and then being bloody from activity on the earth.

“Wild oxen will be slaughtered along with them, as well as strong bulls [אַבִּירִ֑ים]. Their land is drenched with blood, their soil is covered with fat (Isa 34:7). For the LORD has planned a day of revenge, a time when he will repay Edom for her hostility toward Zion (Isa 34:8 NET).”

In Corrupting the Image 2, we explored the phrase “bulls of Bashan,” [אַבִּירֵ֖י abirei] which TWOT defines as “mighty,” “strong,” or “brave,” and carries a connotation of a bull-god. TWOT notes “’ābı̂r relates to the Akkadian abāru “be strong.”… it may be an element in a divine name in Ugaritic “the Mighty One of Hadd.” Psalm 78 says, “Men ate angels’ [אַ֭בִּירִים abirim] food … ”(Ps 78:25), and the translators render it as angels, that is, mighty ones, instead of bulls. In other word, these bull are spiritual beings. They were present at the crucifixion, encompassing the crucified Jesus, with their hideous faces in a diabolic jubilation, thinking that Jesus and his work were defeated. They were so preoccupied with jeering and mocking Jesus, they were oblivious to the fact that Jesus was gaining supreme victory over death. Thus, Jesus is fighting angels who were “gods,” but will die as men. In the end times, they will have become corporeal and flesh and will be attempting to stop Jesus from getting to Jerusalem; just as they once tried to stop him from crossing the Sea of Galilee. Jesus will go toe to toe with the mighty bulls of Bashan—clones of Batios, the great bull-god of Mt. Hermon!

“Look, it now descends on Edom, on the people I will annihilate in judgment” (Isa 34:5 NET).

Later the same prophet asks,

“Who is this who comes from Edom [מֵאֱד֗וֹם me’Edom], with dyed garments from Bozrah, this One who is glorious in His apparel, traveling in the greatness of His strength?– ‘I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save’ (Isa 63:1). Who is this who comes from Edom, Why is Your apparel red [אָדֹ֖ם adom], and Your garments like one who treads in the winepress? (Isa 63:2).”

This of course, is the very same place where God said he would bathe his sword in blood in heaven (and then turn it to the earth). There is a clear word play going on between Edom and red [אָדֹ֖ם adom] (Isa 63:2), which both share the same root [אדם] “’ādōm, ’ādēm. To be red.”315

Figure 43. Map of Middle East showing Teman.

Isaiah is seeing that the one glorious in apparel and mighty to save (Yeshua) is coming from the same place where he said he would bathe his sword in blood in the heavens and on the earth. Jesus (Yeshua) answers:

“I have trodden the winepress alone, and from the peoples no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, and trampled them in My fury; their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, and I have stained all My robes” (Isa 63:3).

In other words, the same fury that would show on his face (Ezek 38:19), and the anger and fury toward the nations (Isa 34:2) will be expressed in part by a battle in the atmosphere. The prophet Habakkuk speaks of a battle in the same general area. We already noted from this passage how He will frighten the nations with a mere look (Hab 3:6 NET). The location of that event will be in Teman.

“God comes from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah. His splendor has covered the skies, the earth is full of his glory (Hab 3:3). His brightness will be as lightning; a two-pronged lightning bolt flashing from his hand. This is the outward display of his power (Hab 3:4). Plague will go before him; pestilence will march right behind him (Hab 3:5).”

The prophet notes that God (Jesus) is coming from a southernly direction to Israel. Both Teman and Bozrah are around Edom (modern day Jordan). Isaiah said He was glorious in his apparel, and Habakkuk notes his splendor covered the skies, revealing that Jesus is in the sky. The prophet also reveals his weapon; Jesus has bolts of lightning “flashing from his hand … the outward display of his power.” Clearly, Jesus is coming to do battle in the sky and He will shoot bolts of lightning against His enemies. Isaiah explains the motivation for this mighty warrior:

“For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come (Isa 63:4). I looked, but there was no one to help, and I wondered that there was no one to uphold; therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me; and My own fury, it sustained Me (Isa 63:5).”

Jesus does not come back and merely snap his fingers to end Satan’s rule. As God, He presumably could do such a thing, but for a good reason He chooses not to. Rather than speculate why He does not, it is better to discuss what He does instead. He comes with lightning bolts in his hand and fights against the two hundred million Manticores that Satan has released from the abyss. Satan had prepared for this day, and like a good general, he brought out his secret weapon to use against his foe at an “above earth” level in the atmosphere. Nevertheless, Jesus will ultimately vanquish them; “Their slain will be left unburied, their corpses will stink; the hills will soak up their blood” (Isa 34:3). Ezekiel notes, concerning Satan’s forces:

“You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured” (Ezek 39:4).

Jesus eventually breaks through the manticore dome surrounding Jerusalem, which Satan hoped would stop Jesus from getting through to save His redeemed.

In Isaiah 63, the prophet asks,

“Why is Your apparel red … (Isa 63:2) ‘I have trodden the winepress alone [see also Revelation 14, Micah 4:12 and in Joel 3], and from the peoples no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, and trampled them in My fury; their blood is sprinkled upon My garments… (Isa 63:3) For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come (Isa 63:4). For I have trodden them in My anger, and trampled them in My fury; their blood is sprinkled upon My garments… (Isa 63:3) For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come’ (Isa 63:4).”

Jesus’ Army of Holy Ones

YHWH (LORD) of hosts is a common epithet of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. “Hosts” [צְבָא֜וֹת Tsavoth] means “armies.” God came with his armies, that is, his holy angels when he came down to Sinai in a show of lightning, thunder, fire, and earthquake (Exod 19).

“The LORD came from Sinai, and dawned on them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran, and He came with ten thousands of saints [holy ones]; from His right hand came a fiery law for them” (Deut 33:2).

King David describes the incredible number of chariots coming with God in the same Psalm where he talked about Bashan (Mt Hermon – the very place where Jesus later took three disciples and transfigured before them); and where the angels had descended in the days of Noah, as we studied in Corrupting the Image 2. “The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of thousands; the Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the Holy Place” (Ps 68:17).

“When Elisha and his servant woke to find themselves surrounded by the army of the Syrians, Elisha asked and “[YHWH] the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha” (2 Kgs 6:17).

Notice how Isaiah envisions the Lord God when He comes down to judge the world:

“For behold, the LORD will come with fire and with His chariots, like a whirlwind, to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by His sword the LORD will judge all flesh; and the slain of the LORD shall be many” (Isa 66:15–16).

This very description is said of Jesus who will be “revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, (2 Thess 1:7) in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God” (2 Thess 1:8).

Jesus himself said that he, “the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works” (Matt 16:27, see also 25:31). John wrote of this retinue coming with Jesus, as well: “And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses” (Rev 19:14). It is impossible to say this retinue does not include humans. However, the emphasis is clearly on angels, in light of the other passages we have just reviewed; and, in light of Jude, who also states how the “Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints [holy ones], to execute judgment on all” (Jude 1:14–15). Jesus is coming to do battle against the millions in Satan’s freshly created hybrid army.

Evidence of Satan’s Slanderous Rebellion

Satan’s Slanderous Revolt Chapter 4 of Corrupting the Image 2

Satan became enraged by the notion that he, the great Angel, must be a servant to Adam, made of dust. So the root of jealousy and bitterness began festering within him. We see this egotism in ancient Sumerian texts. One said of him: “Enlil’s commands are by far the loftiest … He is the one that decides the fate, etc. He alone is the prince of heaven, the dragon of the earth.” [1]

Adam and Eve were childlike in their understanding of the great cosmos, and their wisdom could not compare to his. Even so, he was charged with watching over the creatures made of dust, guiding and serving them in any way needed. This obviously brought out the worst in him. His snake-dragon qualities are again on display in ancient Mesopotamia via Ninurta, one of his syncretisms.

Lord Ninurta … has perfected heroship, Dragon with the “hands” of a lion, the clawsof an eagle … Lord Ninurta, when your heart was seized (by anger), You spat venom like a snake.[2]

Instead of presenting himself as a servant set-apart as a living sacrifice, so to speak, and becoming like his Creator—which was both acceptable to Adonai and was his reasonable service—he began to think more highly of himself than he ought. Incensed with jealousy toward Adam, he lifted up a powerful weapon to defame the name of his Creator. How ironic that the very gift of unparalleled beauty caused him to become self-centered and to relinquish true wisdom. Instead of embracing humility, which would have led to honor, he chose pride and arrogance, which ultimately led to his fall toward destruction.

His deadly, slanderous weapon was a simple question: “Has God indeed said? (Gen 3:1). This tiny question was an insidious, but subtle slander of God’s character. He was asking, can you really trust what God said? Next, he told a lie about the consequence of eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, “You will not surely die” (Gen 3:4), and then proceeded to truthfully tell the purpose of the tree: to be like God.[3] “For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil” (Gen 3:5).

We know that his last statement was true for God himself says as much: “And the LORD God said, behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good (tov טֹ֣וב) and evil (ra רָ֔ע) (Gen 3:22, KJV). God wants beings that are like Him and with whom He can interact lovingly—that requires freewill[4]—that everyone has the chance to choose for Him or against Him.[5] Adam and Eve could have 1) refused to eat, thereby exercising their freewill choice, and their eyes would be opened to the knowledge of good—what God delights in, and the knowledge of evil—what God does not delight in (See Appendix 2, Evil), but without death, and they would be permitted to stretch out their hands and take from the tree of life and live forever; or 2) they could (and did) eat from the tree, have their eyes opened to the knowledge of good and evil with the consequence of severing their connection with God (which is death, decay, and degeneration entering their bodies and souls) and thereby being banned from eating from the tree of life and being banished from the Garden of Eden.

The book of Ezekiel describes Satan’s actions: “You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity [avlata עַוְלָ֖תָה] was found in you.”(Ezek 28:15) This word means “to deviate from and hence to do what is opposite of the character of God.”[6] Satan originally did what was in accordance with the character of God until one day he deviated. TWOT makes it clear that it is not just a philosophical departure from an ideal—but it is an action or deed.

In Hebrew, the basic meaning of this root means to deviate from a right standard, to act contrary to what is right. The verb is a denominative from āwel/‘awlâ and occurs only twice in the Old Testament … In Isa 26:10 it describes the activity of the people of Judah who act unjustly (KJV; “perversely,” RSV) in contrast to upright behavior… an act or deed that is against what is right … behavior contrary to what is right.[7]

Satan was perfect until he misbehaved, acted out and committed a deed that was contrary to God’s righteous standard. The next verse in Ezekiel reveals his deviation was “by the abundance of [rekhulatkha רְכֻלָּתְךָ֗]” (Ezek 28:16).

The Slanderer

The big question, of course, is what exactly does rekhulatkha mean? It has been typically translated as “trading”, which is a possible translation.[8] But is it the best interpretation?

The word comes from the root [rakhal רכל] which according to BDB Hebrew-English Lexicon means: “to go about (meaning dubious) 1.a. trafficker, trader.” Rekhulatkha, based on the original root [rakhal רכל] (H7402) means “slander, slanderer, tale bearer, informer … someone who goes about as a talebearer spreading gossip or things that are in some way destructive … a scandal-monger (as travelling about).”[9]

Gesenius notes its phonetic relationship to the word ragal [רָגַל] “to go on foot” and how it carries the meaning of “to traffic.” The secondary meaning is “for the sake of slandering, whence [rakhil רָכִיל] slander.”[10]

We therefore have a definition for [rakhil רָכִיל] as someone who goes about as a slanderer, spreading gossip or things that are in some way destructive. In other words: spreading malicious information. This sounds exactly like what Satan did in the Garden. Revelation 12:9 reveals more about Satan’s various titles, calling him the dragon and the serpent of old—the latter a clear reference to Genesis 3—and then mentioning the term “devil.”

The Devil

The word devil comes from the Greek diabolos [διάβολος] “slanderous, backbiting”, derived from diaballo [διαβάλλω] “throw or carry across” (wrestling).[11] The Liddle Scott Jones Classical Greek Lexicon describes exactly the alternate meaning of rekhulatkha [רְכֻלָּתְךָ֗] that we have proposed.

διαβάλλω: — throw or carry over or across in wrestling, pass over, cross, put through, set at variance set against, bring into discredit, to be filled with suspicion and resentment against another, attack a man’s character, calumniate, accuse, complain of without implied malice or falsehood, reproach a man with, misrepresent, speak or state slanderously, give hostile information, without any insinuation of falsehood, lay the blame for a thing on, declare it spurious, deceive by false accounts, mislead, divert from a course of action. (Emphasis mine).[12]

Satan, filled with suspicion and resentment against God, was going about to the other angels subtly discrediting and misrepresenting God and attacking his character. In other words, his iniquity was slandering God. According to Ezekiel 28:16, it was not a one-off offense but in fact, an abundance of slander. The lesson we glean is God did not cast Satan to the ground for one aberrant thought, but for an abundance of misbehavior.

This alternate reading of Ezekiel 28:16, of “slandering” versus “trafficking”, fits much better with the anointed cherub who covers. He was not trafficking merchandise. He was giving hostile information about God and misrepresenting his character. Dr. Robert Luginbill, in his book, The Satanic Rebellion, also sees the problem with translating rekhulatkha as “your trading”.[13]

The only thing he could have traded was slander. The translation “slander” maintains the meaning of “going about” and includes the nuance of “misrepresenting, attacking character”, and it is confirmed by Satan’s Greek title diabolos (devil) which means slanderer. Based on the aforementioned, my translation is therefore: “By the abundance of your [rekhulatkha רְכֻלָּתְךָ֗] slandering you became filled with violence within, and you sinned” (Ezek 28:16).

This provides a different perspective; Satan was not hawking his merchandise: “Hey, guys you need to get the latest Angel-phone!” God did not come in with an anti-trust case against him. It was not like God said: “Satan! You are selling too much. I have to stop your monopoly.” That was not it. With whom would Satan trade, anyway? The other angels?

Figure Committing Suicide.

Satan subtly slandered God in the Garden of Eden because he did not want to serve anyone, but instead wanted all to serve him. He persuaded Adam and Eve to curse themselves, (See Appendix 5 Balaam), to put the gun to their own heads and dig their own grave, as in Figure 15. He used slander to incite Adam to eat the fruit God forbad, knowing Adam would “surely die” (Gen 2:17), and he would subsequently commit all his progeny to perpetual death (Rom 5:12; 1 Cor 15:21–22). Adam’s transgression caused an imbalance, a debt, a legal lien upon the Earth which must be balanced or paid (we will explore this in detail when Jesus takes the scroll in Revelation 5). Thus, Adam’s dominion, prerogative and hereditary right to the Earth were forfeited and consequently, Satan would occupy the Earth in place of its legal and rightful possessor. Satan usurped Adam’s rulership which is proved by Jesus calling Satan the “ruler of the world” (John 14:30).

Perhaps the most heinous part of Satan’s plot was that Adam and Eve did not suspect anything because they seemed to already know and trust Satan. He came to Adam and Eve as God’s chief steward, prime minister and high priest who oversaw everything and was charged with protecting the sacred place they occupied. They had no reason to question his motives. They had known him since the day of their creation. Satan was therefore able to come to them in his unfallen, glorious state and they listened.

It is important to understand that he came to them with evil intent in his heart. However, unlike the movie, “Minority Report”, in which people could be incarcerated for future crimes they had not yet committed, in God’s economy, a person must first commit the crime in reality before they do the time. Jesus’ statement: “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matt 5:28).Lust is a craving to have something or someone that is not yours. A decision to perpetuate and continue this line of thinking eventually leads a person to committing an action. However, it must be pointed out that there is no specific punishment for lust. (See Appendix 7 Leaven). The many consequences for lusting might include neurological pathways forming that affect the brain or harmful chemicals being released in the brain that lead to depression, addiction and dangerous behaviors. Left unchecked, lust will eventually lead to adultery. However, only real adultery is punishable in God’s economy.

Thus, Satan lusting about being like God was not enough to deserve judgment; he had to do the deed and slander was the key.

Satan Cast to the Ground

After speaking with Adam and Eve about what happened, God turned to his once trusted prime minister and proclaimed the consequence of his action: he would lose his blessed status among animals and would instead be cursed above all others, he would lose his beauty and splendor, and he would lose the fiery-nature he enjoyed as a cherub.

We have looked at three major passages: Genesis 3, Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28, that deal with the fall of Satan. In all three, Satan is in the Garden of Eden, and God pronounced the immediate judgment of being cast to the ground and the future consequence of his slander. We note the several similarities by comparing them in the chart on the next page.

Comparison of Passages of Satan Cast to the Ground

We may infer from God’s judgment that Satan did not expect to lose his legs and be cast to the ground. Until then, he possessed the most glorious body imaginable—he was the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty” (Ezek 28:12). As high priest, he was covered in dazzling stones, but all of that was lost when he fell. Paired with his fire also being taken away, losing his legs may imply the loss of mobility and specifically, the loss of the ability to come through the veil.

God then declared:

“I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed [zarakha זַרְעֲךָ] and her seed [zarah זַרְעָהּ]; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel” (Gen 3:15).

“You, shall bruise his heel” means that Satan is going to injure the Messiah, the Seed of the woman. “He shall bruise your head” means the Messiah would inflict a mortal blow to Satan. This was essentially a declaration of war. God had just given hope to mankind and an ominous prophecy of doom to him. Satan did not underestimate his adversary; he has repeatedly done all he can to seal his control over the world forever. To maintain his control, Satan had to cause man to love him and slander his Creator to the point that they hate or ignore Him, and then get man to lust after himself and his fallen angels so his kingdom could openly manifest on the Earth.

[3] Being like God is a good thing: we shall be in His likeness (Psalm 17:15), “partakers of the divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4) “we shall be like Him,” (1 John 3:2) You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy, (Lev 19:2, see also Lev 11:44-45; 20:7, 26; 1Pet 1:16). Disobeying God was bad.

[4] God created them with capacity to love but could not force them. Love must be freely chosen to be authentic. Likewise, He could create them with the ability to choose but could not force them. Choice, by definition, must be self-determined.

[5] In order to choose, there must be a real, authentic negative option, thus “evil.” God said they could freely eat from any tree in the garden. Yet Adam eating from merely choosing to eat from an apple tree versus a pear tree would not constitute a self-governing choice because those trees had God’s blessing. Adam needed a real negative option that he would choose to NOT take. Thus, to eat or NOT to eat from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil provided them the opportunity of self-determination, of self-governance; to choose – freely, without any compulsion on God’s part.

[8] This word rekhulatkha, (translated as “trading”) has caused confusion about Satan’s history. A popular theory, is the Gap theory which asserts Satan was in charge of an unrecorded, pre-Adamic empire eons ago found in the gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. Advocates suggest verse two be translated “And the earth became formless and void…” According to Hebrew Grammar, “ve’ha’aretz hayta” indicates a parenthetical statement due to the word “and” followed by the subject followed by the verb, which is not the standard biblical Hebrew order. Hebrew והארץ היתה vehaaretz hayta is known grammatically as a copulative clause. (See Kautszch and Cowley 1910:484) The vav (or waw) attached to the noun (the earth) acts as a type of parenthetical statement (See: Joüon, PG., & T. Muraoka 2005) thus: “… God created…the earth. (Now the earth was without form, and void.)” Earth in Gen 1:1 included all unorganized raw material God had created in no particular shape or form: “The earth was without form, and void (תהו ובהו tohu vavohu)” (Gen 1:2a) These words do not suggest that the earth was a wasteland waiting to be recreated. According to TWOT tohu vavohu, “Refers not to the result of a supposed catastrophe…but to the formlessness of the earth before God’s creative hand began the majestic acts.” (TWOT Tohu, See also: Fields 1978:58).

Could Satan Be the First Vampire?

Doug appears as a guest on Canary Cry Radio with Basil and Gonz – they discuss and investigate the mysterious life giving Are Demons actually vampires?properties of blood. The Bible says that the life is in the blood (Lev. 17:11). But blood is also held in high regards by the darkest harbingers of occult knowledge. Today, modern science has uncovered the mechanics of blood that seem to inadvertently confirm spiritual truths about this crimson liquid that were written thousands of years ago. So why is blood so important both literally for our biological bodies and for our spiritual lives?

Stan Deyo to Appear on According to the Scriptures Thursday May 2

Stan Deyo has held Above Top Secret Security Clearance and worked undercover for the FBI. He was part of an exclusive “black project”, headed by Dr. Edward Tellerspecializing in the development of “flying saucer technology”.

Stan’s diverse background encompasses:

  • computer programmer of mainframes in 7 languages, PC and Macintosh
  • senior systems analyst
  • research physicist (both formally and self-educated)
  • marine architect (self-educated)
  • advanced propulsion engineer for marine, air and spacecraft
  • author of three books and six scientific papers
  • partner in Deyo Enterprises LLC – our R&D, website hosting, book publishing and book distribution company for the last 35 years
  • amateur archeologist in the Middle East – explored real “Indy Jones” caves in the Qumran region of Israel
  • TV documentary television host for several shows on Tesla (Eye of the Storm)and a series of three highly-rated shows on Channel 9 in Perth: UFOs Are Here,UFOs Deyo and You and UFOs Are Back
  • university lecturer in 3D computer animation and graphic art
  • Biblical student
  • public lecturer on world events including:
  1. The coming global economic collapse
  2. Developing solar-related crises in the Earth’s climate
  3. The “UFO” deception and its real intent
  4. Suppression of badly needed technologies
  5. The coming destruction of America by civil war followed by foreign invasion
  6. High voltage physics of “cheaper” energy

Born in Clifton, Texas to a family of American Pioneers, Stan spent his first two years in nearby Valley Mills with his grandparents until his father returned from the Middle East – a US Army Air Force Base Commander in WW2. Valley Mills is just seven miles from Crawford, home to President Bush’s ranch.

Stan spent most of his youth in Dallas where (while at J. F. Kimball H.S.) he was a member of the National Honor Society, Captain of the rifle team, Lt. Colonel in the NDCC (ROTC), recipient of the Sons of the American Revolution Medal, and honored as one of the two most outstanding math students.

Graduating high school just three months after his 16th birthday, Stan was awarded a partial engineering scholarship to the University of Texas and also was given a full congressional appointment (scholarship) to the US Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs. He was the only 4th class cadet who received written permission from General Curtis E. LeMay (head of S.A.C. at the time) to drink coffee and sit at ease during meals – which was not the norm for 4th class cadets.

Upon returning to Dallas from USAFA, Stan trained in computer programming at IBM. Shortly thereafter, he formed his own “mission impossible” team solving extremely sensitive, difficult corporate computing problems.

Stan’s main love is still advanced propulsion and “free” energy research which took him to Australia in ’71 to work on these systems as part of a global project under the direction of such men as Dr. Edward Teller and Dr Andrei Sakharov.

Currently Stan is:
a) working on a Tesla-based energy system similar to that of Dr T. Henry Moray
b) several, novel air and marine propulsion projects
c) giving many radio interviews
d) writing his second paper (in a series of three) on the inertial nature of gravity with many graphic illustrations which show the ‘layered shells’ nature of moons, planets, stars, galaxies and even galactic clusters… which addresses the ‘hollow Earth’ possibility and…
e) conducting a planet-wide test with many people who are taking measurements of changes in the Earth’s magnetic and gravitational fields using a technique Stan discovered.

In 1969, Stan experienced an NDE which only strengthened his Faith, though at the time, he was not a Believer. We met with Hopi elders of the Shungopavi Village in Arizona twice by invitation to discuss prophecy.

In 1996 we visited the restricted access FNMOC at the US Navy base in Monterey to share Stan’s method of earthquake prediction (based on sea surface temperature fluctuations – something Stan formulated from the Navy’s own data but they had not seen this use for it until he showed them.) For 10 years he made earthquake forecasts using their data with an accuracy of about 70% and a lead time of 1-7 days. Sadly, in 2006 the Naval data stream was classified; so Stan had to abandon this project. However, in 2012 he was able to develop another data source which enabled him to once again start providing daily earthquake forecasts. This time his accuracy ranges from 80% to 90%

At Air Force Space Command in Colorado Springs (now headquartered in Omaha), we met with Major Green, affectionately known as “Major Meteor” by his colleagues, to discuss the probability of meteors impacting Earth. Stan has packed more into 67years than most folks do in two lifetimes!

Stan’s scientific approach is backed by extensive research. He is not motivated to make a “quick buck”, nor is he trying to sell anything other than his books that are treasured by those who have them. He feels obliged to let the public know both what he sees from a scientific perspective as well as from Biblical research.

As strange as this might sound, on occasion, Stan has what he calls dream/visions. They do not happen often, maybe one every few years and initially, they only involved him or the immediate family. Now his dream/visions are becoming more frequent and involve other folks, other countries. My first “proof” of his abilities was his dream/vision where he “saw” me as his wife, his partner in life, and exactly where I lived several months before we’d even met!

We did, in fact, meet as a result of one of Stan’s early appearances on Art Bell’s radio program Coast To Coast AM. If you knew our details and the fact that we were living 12,000 miles apart, you’d appreciate the near-impossibility of this, but it DID come true. When Stan tells me he’s “had a dream”, I hold my breath, because his dream/visions have never NOT come.

God graced him with a phenomenal mind that he uses to help folks, not to make us wealthy. Maybe it sounds like I make him out to be bigger than life, but of how many people can you say, “it’s truly a gift knowing him…” He’s kind and gentle, an idealist with a terrific sense of fun.

In 2001, Stan and I, and our 4-leggeds Seismo and Taco, came back home to Pueblo County, Colorado near the Sangre de Cristos of the Rockies and the beautiful Beulah Valley – just 25 miles from our home. Sadly on the 11th of June in 2011 we lost Taco and then Seismo followed her this year on the 26th of July 2012. They both had long and adventure-filled lives with us: flying across the world, joining Stan in international radio shows on Coast to Coast AM, chasing jack rabbits, catching mice on the farm and tracking roos…. We miss them both.

As Seismo began to fade in 2011 we found two Australian Kelpie pups to keep him company. He was not pleased at first but as the pups grew he tolerated them. Now they are our support team and we love them both but are especially fond of Jayzbo Baggins Deyo who is more loving and responsible than his mate, Isabella Margarita Deyo – whose intelligence gets her into trouble a lot.

May God bless you all,
Holly Deyo

AGE OF DECEIT Fallen Angels and the New World Order

This film will take a look at the New World Order and it’s many strands including secret societies, ancient mystery religion, theosophy, the new age movement, trans-humanism, UFO phenomenon, the alien gospel, and other facets of this ancient plan unfolding before our eyes. It will take a look at these things through the lens of biblical scripture and show that biblical prophecy best explains who is behind the New World Order and why.The film features Chris White of and, and Douglas Hamp who is the author of “Corrupting the Image: Angels, Aliens, and the Antichrist.”
