theWord Bible Software Book Modules

Here you will find some new user created modules to use with The Word Bible Software. I created these in conjunction with volunteers from the Calvary Chapel School of Ministry(www.ccsom.org) staff, students and volunteers. We pray that these will be a blessing. We encourage you to help us create more modules that can be used by the body of Christ.

A word of explanation: Some of the following modules have been collected from many sources on the internet. It is believed that all of these are public domain and where modules were known to be under copyright, they were removed from the list of resources. Others of these have been converted into theWord format from user-created-e-Sword websites. Some modules are known to be of a cult or a non-biblical origin. They are included here for the purpose of research. Such items are generally clearly marked (e.g. Mormon). However, the user will need to use his discretion, as with any book available.

I am trying to add the Webster’s 1828 Dictionary to the Dictionary app on my MacBook Pro. Can you tell me where I can access the raw file?

Dear Sirs,

I have downloaded the book “Train of Tears” for Bible software The Word. The book references “charts”, however it appears that the referenced charts are not linked. Were the charts not included with the download or is it a broken link within the book? Thank you for this tremendous resource.

Hi, I was wondering where the list of books are for theWord modules. Every time I click on ‘Books’ under theWord tab it takes me to this page with the comments. Just a couple of weeks ago I downloaded a module from this site and it looked totally different. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Hi Doug. I’m not sure if you read these comments, but I wanted you to know that your clear explanations of the elect and the use of chosen as well as the end times scenarios are speaking to me. Recently I’ve been speaking to a coworker and he is a very good guy but has little knowledge of end times prophecy. We are now in the process of putting together a group to study these things and I’ve just found out that he believes the replacement theology doctrine. I mentioned to him that was not my belief and now he has suggested two book both of which are written by Presbyterian ministers. I started to read them and they are complete nonsense as far as I can tell. One is called Triumph of the Lamb by Dennis E. Johnson. Anyway, I just wanted to say I really appreciate what you are doing. I’ve just downloaded theWord software and am using it via USB at work and on my own system at home. Ordered Corrupting the Image a couple days ago from Amazon and am excited to read it through.

There seems to be a font or Unicode encoding problem. In the Westminster-Confession module, all the chapter headers in the topic list have a question mark in a black diamond where an apostrophe would normally be. For example, “Chapter 3: Of God?s Eternal Decree”. The actual text of the book renders correctly; it’s just the topic list on the left side and toolbar that display incorrectly. Any ideas for fixing that?

Do we really need to download 464 individual files? Isn’t there a way to make a .zip file of all the files on this page? Similarly, you can do this on other pages. Thank you . . .

Thanks Doug for being used by God to make these resources available. For those that hate reading like me, you can use a software called Natural Reader FREE (
http://www.naturalreaders.com ). You can copy/paste any text to it, adjust the text, voice, and speed. It will highlight each word and allow you to train your eyes to read faster and retain more information.
